Kyleigh has been dancing for 23 years. She competed solos for two years and then danced with the Elite Dance Team of Golden Slippers for 11 years. She was also a competitive ballroom dancer and in 2008 she was the Ohio State Ballroom champion. In addition, she has won top awards including Top Overall Score, special judges awards and choreography awards throughout her dance career.
When she was 12, she started assisting with classes. She loved seeing the different styles of teaching each instructor had and learning from them. Kyleigh decided to start teaching dance nine years ago because she has a passion for dancing and loves working with kids. She also enjoys teaching and sharing what she’s learned during her many years of training.
“I love learning new things and expanding my education to teach new things to my students,” says Kyleigh.
Since the age of 13, Kyleigh has attended Dance Masters of America workshops as well as workshops provided at dance competitions and at Golden Slippers.
She teaches ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, lyrical and tap. She believes it’s important for her students to know that hard work pays off in anything they do. If they work hard, they can achieve anything.
When she’s not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family and working out.
