Jennifer Holliman Wagner

Jennifer Holliman Wagner
Born and raised in Hampton Roads, Jennifer has danced with different studios in the area for 40 plus years. She studied ballet, pre-pointe, tap and jazz as a child. She graduated from Virginia Wesleyan College with a degree in Communications/Media Studies and Journalism, where she was also on the dance team. She is Dance Masters of America (DMA) certified in ballet, tap and jazz. She is currently a stay-at-home mom and teaches dance.

Jennifer has been teaching since 2001 and teaching at Golden Slippers since 2006. Dance has always been her part-time job through all of her full-time work. It has allowed her to continue doing what she loves without it being what she has to do.

As someone who took dance her whole life as a recreational activity, Jennifer approaches teaching with a different perspective since she never competed or was trying to dance professionally. She loves being able to educate dancers on proper technique, musicality and choreography, but also encouraging them to just enjoy the activity as a part of their life. She enjoys getting to know her dancers and their families on personal levels and helping them to reach their goals in dance and life. Her motto in class and in life is to “Just Keep Dancing.”
